Ricardo Pérez Gonzalez - Joe Bonham

Ricardo is pleased to be back in Sacramento with his home company Lookout! Players after a long stint in the New York theatre scene. His past California credits include Jim in The Glass Menagerie, Ronnie in Welcome to the Moon, The Cheerleader in Bleacher Bums, Simon Able in Sly Fox (LOOKOUT! Players), Miksa in The Gypsy Princess, Bomelius in The Tsar’s Bride, Fenton in The Merry Wives of Windsor (R.A.M.A.) and Nibbles in West Side Story (Davis Musical Theatre Company). His New York credits include Salerio and Solanio in Merchant of Venice, The Murderer and Mentieth in Macbeth (Dreamscape Theatre Company’s inaugural season), Renfield in Dracula, Hautflote in Reverse Transcription, The Doctor in Streetcar Named Desire, Francis Flute in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Claudio in Death and the Fool, Jim in True Love (NYU Tisch School of the Arts), Paul in Company (Columbia University) and the world premiere of the Spanish Language Production of Johnny, for which he served as translator and actor, with his New York company S.E.E. Theatre. He has also built and designed sets for the production of Sly Fox in California and Robert Castle’s production of We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay! at the Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. After this production, Ricardo will be returning to the Big Apple to pursue his work as S.E.E. Theatre’s Chair of Community Outreach, through which he has begun initiating community-based theatre projects with members of the Spanish and East Harlem community.
